A brings the visual language of hosiery across the torso and, in many designs, down the legs. It can be finely meshed, patterned, partly opaque or made from a more open net. Some versions include feet, while others finish above them.

Manufacturer descriptions show both footed bodies and footless styles with opaque-looking pattern areas. [S20, S21] The result may resemble several separate pieces, but the apparent bra, or garter can be part of the knitted design rather than an independent garment.

Pattern is not the same thing as support

A darker area across the bust can look like a bra in a photograph without containing bra cups, or a separate supporting . Likewise, a garter-like stripe may be decorative rather than a functional suspender. Product descriptions sometimes identify these effects as faux details. [S21]

Read the specification before deciding whether another layer is needed. Do not use the illustration of a bra within a pattern as evidence that the garment supplies the support you prefer. Appearance and function may overlap, but they are not interchangeable.

Footed, footless and everything between

A footed version continues over the feet. A footless one ends before them. The neckline may be halter, scoop, or another shape, and sleeves can be absent or extend down the arms. These features change the complete dressing sequence, not only the look.

For a permitted fitting, check the reach through the torso and legs together. Fabric that reaches one area should not have to be forced from another. Notice whether the neckline remains where you want it as the lower section settles, and whether you can move without straining the construction.

One size still describes a range

Stretch is not unlimited sizing. A product sold as one size still has a maker-defined range, and different proportions can affect the result. Leg Avenue publishes a size guide alongside one-size bodystockings. [S32] Read the actual guide rather than treating the phrase as a promise that no fitting questions remain.

Use the maker's measurements and any relevant length guidance. Do not infer suitability solely from the pictured model or from the fact that an open net appears highly . A garment is useful when it works comfortably in the arrangement it was designed to create.

Transparency needs its own decision

A densely patterned area may cover differently from the net around it. Assess the bust, torso and lower section individually. Decide what you intend to wear beneath or over the bodystocking, then check the resulting coverage with movement and in ordinary lighting.

This Page is a garment reference, not an invitation to make every version more revealing. An opaque layer under an open net, a complete lingerie set beneath it or a carefully chosen outer layer are all possible styling directions. The arrangement should reflect your intention.

Openings and included pieces

Confirm whether the garment has an open or closed and what is included in the package. Some manufacturer listings explicitly state that the photographed panty is not included. [S20] Preserve that distinction in any Rose Chiffon product note.

The same rule applies when a retailer calls the garment a body or . A hosiery-based one-piece and a sewn body can share a general shape while using different construction. Wolford, for example, also describes net bodysuits made on hosiery equipment. [S22] The technique can cross category names without making every product identical.

Handle the construction deliberately

Before dressing, identify the front, back and any openings so you are not solving the shape by pulling on a narrow area of fabric. Follow the maker's instructions for putting on and removing the garment where provided. For laundering, use its specified method; the Leg Avenue examples here call for cold hand washing and drip drying. [S20, S21]

Bodystockings belong in Lingerie because they explain a distinct approach to making a garment. More atmospheric styling can later sit within Midnight, but the technical reference remains here. Knowing how the pattern, coverage and actual construction differ keeps the Page useful regardless of which partners the site eventually features.
